Downstate

The boys drove downstate for work.  The term downstate was not in my vocabulary until I moved to the Upper Peninsula.  Downstate refers to that other area of Michigan.  That one place, below the bridge.  The bridge being the Mackinac Bridge.

This is a picture taken from the bridge camera, the last time they ventured downstate for work.
At least yesterday, they had better weather.

On the way back home, they took a little jog into Gaylord to the Home Depot and purchased a stink load of drywall for the Old House.

In other news, the new furnace needs a lift home, it awaits us at D&D hardware in Newberry.

I'm itching to order our metal for the new roof.  We are in a disagreement about the color choice.

We might have to put it up for a mass voting choice or something, like on that one show on the DiY network.  I'll keep you posted.
